Alaska Woman Loses Slip and Fall Lawsuit

A Fairbanks jury has ruled against a woman seeking $400,000 after she broke her leg in an icy parking lot while on her way to a hockey game. The woman's attorney was seeking compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, lost wages and future lost wages.

Attorneys for the defense argued that the arena's management company had taken the proper precautions by spreading gravel in the parking lot and that expecting ice-free parking lots in Fairbanks, AK is asking a little much.
